I have just cycled out a 220g fowlr with 100lbs. live rock. I have a 40 gallon sump with bubblking mini 200 skimmer and 36 watt UV light. These are the fish I hope to stock in it
1.6-line wrasse
2.candy stripe hogfish
3.harlequin tusk
4.heniochus
5.raccoon butterfly
6.crosshatch trigger
7.purple tang
8.blonde naso tang
9.emporer angel

My 2 questions are
1. Am I overstocking?
2. Are these fish compatible?

Your opinions will be GREATLY APPRECIATED!!!:)

im not sure on compatibility, but the only thing that i personally see an issue with sizewise would be the emperor angel, just because of its full grown size. perhaps a smaller species would work? other than that, i dont know much about the harlequin tusk, but its got some pretty big teeth, and the 6-line is a pretty small fish. i personally just wouldnt trust it... just my 2 cents...

I was thinking of a Majestic Angel instead of an emporer and a five stripe wrasse T. quinquevittatum instead of the six line

I tend to stock on the heavy side, so I'll just give a biased opinion. You have a lot of fish that get very big; especially the Emperor & Naso. The Tusk is also a very robust fish, but worth a little thinning of the stocklist if you need to. If you are using only LR for bio-filtration, you may not have enough when the fish mature; at least that may be the CW. I think you'll be OK though.
As to comparability: both the Tusk & Crosshatch are magnificent and unusually well mannered fish. However, they are still big carnivores. I have seen both eat fish the size of most 6 line wrasse. Also, I'd skip the UV & put the $ into a bigger skimmer. ; the UV really doesn't do much and requires constant maintenance to do anything. Skimmers aren't as vital in FOWLR tanks as they are in reefs; but you're looking at a big waste load as your fish grow. UV will not prevent or cure parasite infestations; a common misconception.

Thanks for your input. I am thinking of a majestic angel instead of an emporer and eliminating the purple tang. Also, I would go with a larger five stripe (pinkface wrasse) instead of the 6 line. That should reduce the bioload. What do you think. Thanks
