Please help! acan not doing good

another update pic, I think they are trying to come back :) it's in a shaded location and a bit of lower flow. I can see the back polyps trying to inflate again.

Looking much, much.better.

Thanks for the updates as it will help others learn.

Seems we've narrowed it down to the light. Given enough time I believe they will become accustomed to it.

It seems that definitely was the light issue. I still don't get it but it's coloring up and opening more :) I haven't feed it for about a week, but looking good.

very nice save my friend, i just bought a colony of acans lords that same size. They are beautiful corals IMO, remind me of mini brain corals for some reason.

yes they are beautiful, just don't burn them like I did :). I had them way on top of the tank right after the upgrade and I guess it was too much light. Good luck with yours are they the same color? maybe in the future we can trade a polyp :)

yeah they are similiar but not exactly the same. Mine are under 500 watts of halide lighting, but they are on the sand bed under a bit of shade.

So I just got a new tank and new t5's and thought oooh the acan will love the light, how bad does this look?

Yeah i just couldn't figure it out, everything else is thriving under the new lights except for this guy. Hopefully it will recover if its not too late. Should it be out of direct light completly, as in a cave or just turned so that its not getting hit straight on by the lights?

Well the acan got even worse looking even after moving it to the shade. However none of the crabs tried to eat it so i figured it was still alive. As of today its finally changing color a little and possibly starting to recover.
