I got a royal gramma basslet on friday. He has been doing great, eating well, then suddenly today he's upside down and breathing heavy on the bottom. I thought I saw these see-through opaque white blobs on him. Upon closer inspection there is something under his skin and they are moving around! His eyes look glossed over and kinda milky white, and there are these small white blobs on his body, they appear to be under his skin, and they are moving around.

Help!!

edit: the fish is in QT. I QT all my fish for at least 4 weeks before they go into the DT.

first, get him to a quarrantine tank fast. If he is in the main tank, he could spread whatever he has to other fish. I do not know what it is,but some parasite is infecting the fish. It might be ich, but you said blobs, and that is not ich I think, so I cannot help you there.

I should have stated he is in QT. I QT all my fish. yea they look like milky colored bubbles. Definitely not Ich, I've treated that before. These are several mm wide/long. And I can see them moving. so heeby jeeby!

I think it's some kind of flukes. So I dosed prazipro, and immediately all the blobs started squirming and writhing and falling off the fish. I only hope it's not too late!
