I've had my pearly jawfish for about 2 months now. He has been doing great since day 1. He took to making is home right away and has lived what seems to be a pretty stress free life in my tank so far. Today I noticed what looks like to be a hole in his gill. Despite this hole he is eating well and acting normal.
Water parms are all in check and none of the other fish appear to be having any problems. I do want to note that I have a maroon clownfish and a coral banded shrimp that can occasionally be bullies but I have never seen either of them near the jawfish. Does this look like he was attacked or has a disease/parasite?
