Please! help me with my decision!

heres the problem, i got 90 bux i can spend. i could:

ONE:

buy an over flow box , return pump and build a sump using an existing 20 and a seaclone skimmer.

TWO:
buy a Coral life super skimmer. but i have only a Barebones RO system that does NOT remove chlorine and i wuld have to use Dechlor and in all wuld make millions of microbubbles but i can use the 20 with the seaclone and use baffles for Micro bubbles.

use the 90 dollars to invest in a quality RO/DI filter.... then worry about the skimmer upgrade later....

I have used cheaper ro filters before and it will most likely be ok for awhile. If you use a product like Prime by Sachem it won't affect your skimmer like other chlorine removers will. I think I would get the skimmer and sell your folks on getting an RO\DI for the house then you could have great drinking water and good tank water. Good luck I also have a Prizim skimmer that I don't use if you are intersted let me know

I am in Nemofish's camp here. The seaclone will only disappoint. Get the sump set up and save the money towardsa much better skimmer.
