I just received a new torch coral in the mail from MarineDepotLive. It is about the size of a softball maybe. Since I put it in my tank one branch has not came out and I noticed that it has this slimey white coating over it? What should I do? Also when I first put it in the tank most of the coral was expanded and looked great and now it is small and stringy. What do I do? Where is the best position in the tank? I have metal halide lighting but only 150w HQI. Also what for flow would be the best to get it feeling better?

Put it on the midle or botom, medium-low flow. I think white coats is normal on torch, hammer and the frog spanw (same family) it goes down to the skull. move the coral around until it gets happy.
