Please Help! What is this?

I really need some help here. This brown/tan mass has been covering up my zoas for a while now and nothing will eat it. A 3 day night cycle won't even touch it. What can I do? Thanks.

i would take it out and do a fresh water dip and then remove as much by hand as i could with a knife or screw driver. then watch and repeat , you could also try to relocation some of the zoa's

You might even want to try a wire brush, but make sure you don't break any wires off and get them stuck in the rock

same thing happened to me, just cut it off with exacto knife.

I just put it in some fresh water and scrubbed it good with a plastic bristle glass brush. I got over 90% off. Hopefully the freshwater shock will finish the rest of it off.
