yessir... It works. The stock lens can produce some surprisingly good shots. I use a Sigma 105 macro and get some good results. Shoot in RAW and edit in Lightroom or Photoshop or whatever raw editing software you choose. It's all about the post processing.
Someone quoting settings probably won't help. Read your manual- maybe even reset defaults if you have been aimlessly navigating settings..and read elsewhere about: aperture, depth of field, white balance etc..
I like to use all manual settings. No auto-focus. Of course, a tripod helps for macro work.
