Yes, it's a Money Cowry, Cypraea (Monetaria) moneta.

Yes that is a cowrie, and Yes money cowries are generaly reef safe. Some other like The big Tiger Cowries are not reef safe Ive seen them pray on zoanthids and other polyps.
