I have a foxface that has ich and a big freakin open wound on its side and now i just found white spots. The yellow tang i have also has white spots and my coral beauty has the same. Im treating them for ich using ridfungus but not sure about the open wound on the foxface....the wound started as a small wound about the size of a pencil tip and then looked like it was healing with white cotton stuff around it but its getting bigger everyday...since the treatment the white has gone away but the sore is huge and the you can see its flesh and what looks like guts..but it is eating fine and swimming just fine.....i also started using garlic extreme today heard it works good for treatments anyway i would really appreciate your help...thanx James

I can't tell anything from the pic. If you have ich, why use a fungus med? I'd read the ich stickies above and plan on treating all fish in a QT while the DT is fishless for 9+weeks. The wound will probably need an antibiotic, also in a QT/HT.

Another thought on the rabbitfish, I just can't tell much from the pic. Google 'Uronema" and see if this makes sense.

Kordon Rid-Fungus contains 5% active ingredients consisting of five natural organic herbals, based on their containing patented naphthoquinones

Anything that has "natural organic herbals" in the description can pretty much be discounted as snake oil. Things we KNOW cure crypto are: Copper, formalin, chloroquine, and tank transfer. Read the stickies. If there is a wound, I'd think about moving the fish to a bucket and treating for a week with maracyn plus or kanaplex to prevent a secondary bacterial infection.

I imagine these ''natural organic herbals'' are reef safe too? That's another sure sign of something that doesn't work. If my septic tank is pumped and then dumped on my neighbors "organic" herb and vegetable garden; its still "organic" , right?
