I have had my tank up and running for a good while now and everything has been doing awesome. Well a few days ago I noticed that there were white specks all over the glass and in the water and even all over my fishes. My hippo tang seemed to be most effected by it. As she kept going to the cleaner shrimp and having him clean her. Well she stopped eating and ultimately I woke up to find my hippo tang dead yesterday. My 2 clowns and foxface have the white spots still but aren't scratching and seem to be eating ok. The specks are still all over the glass swimming in the water and all over my fish. I want to say its ich. But from everything I've been reading idk if u can see ich on the glass or In the water. Please help me to figure out what's going on. I've had my fishes since I started my tank my hippo tang being my first casualty :( I don't wanna loose another one.

What's crawling on the glass is not ich, it's copepods. These are good. You can not see ich with the naked eye. How long has the tank been set up? Have you added anything to the tank recently that was not quarantined? Can you post a pic of the fish? How long did the tang show symptoms before it died? Did the tang scratch or exhibit excess mucus sloughing off?

The tanks been up n going strong for a lil over a year. Yes the tang was scratching but she would do that even when she didn't have any spots at all. Ever since I got her she would rub on the rocks. She showed symptoms for only a few days. Literally all this happened over night. An being that this is my first bad experience with the tank idk what's going on. I have a 29 biocube. And I'll take a pic of the clowns as they seem to have it the worst I don't see any spots on the foxface. How do I post a pic on here.
