I got this thing for $30 a week ago and it's been doing good. What is it? Some type of leather?

Looks like a finger leather. It should open up a little more than that. Has it looked like that since you bought it?

Yes but......... I noticed my bi color blenny was interested in the coral as well as I. Bi color is out in about an hour. Read some bad things about them especially since I will have clams soon. I'll update pics about 2 days after the blenny is out.

I have never seen one this coral but it's beautiful. They also have a vibrant yellow one as well I might go back and get.

It looks to be a sinularia in a contracted state. I've never seen a pink one....mine is green. In the proper (ie: low) flow, it will open up to be HUGE and extend polyps so it looks fuzzy.
