I have had two of these for about 6 months but I don't know the species. Could somebody please help me identify them?

They seem to be taken with my frogspawn too!

they will host anything, sometimes you can get them to host the BTA but it's not their natural anemone to host in.

my blk perc used to host in the anemone it didn't make the move, so now they host in my frogspawn and toadstool

Also agree, doesnt have the thick black around the white stripes like true percs do.

It's the easiest way to tell. False percula's are also cheaper in price, usually.

My LFS tries to pass off false percs as true perculas, I don't buy there anymore.;)

what's the difference between ture and false? does that mean tank-raised vs. wild?

I have a really cool tomato clown, so I doubt I will get any perculas.

Sometimes, the black outline on A. percula can look identical to A. ocellaris. It is then you must count dorsal spines to (hopefully) get a true ID.
