thanks for the info, id like to purchase this coral but would like info in care and feeding i assume it requires low light..

A closer shot would be helpful, but the deep red makes me agree with techigirl78. If it has nocturnal white polyps, that's definitely it.

If it is in fact a chili coral PLEASE do not purchase it because it will slowly die in your tank...DONT WASTE YOU MONEY!!!!!

Not that their hard to keep its just that most "tropical" tanks do not meet their specific requirements..one such requirement is plankton, also they prefer low lights and 99.9% of the time they will perish in captivity..we have a hard time keeping them alive at the Aquarium lol

Hard, but not impossible. The tough part is meeting their feeding schedule, since the polyps are nocturnal. It will take some dedication to figuring out a feeding regimen for it. If you're having trouble with nuisance algae it's a no-go for that reason alone. They tend to become algae magnets in such systems, and the polyps evenetually get smothered and it can't feed. Definitely not a good beginner's choice

the best would be cyclopeeze but your still taking a chance...for the same price as a chili coral you can get a blue ridge which will fair better under good conditions
