With no black dot on the ventral fin, that would be my pick as well. Not cheap, moderately ornery.

These have a black spot on the ventral fin which is how they are differentiated.

I agree with both aspects. If you do not have a picture of the actual fish, do NOT send money.

I've had a rose band a little over a year and it has never bothered any other wrasse or fish, usually 'hangs out' with a my pink margin... and finally, the 'fancy' tail is just starting to develop...

A pintail is more common and not worth the price he is asking. Nice fish though.

So, is the pintail, lanceolatus, and splendid all different? Is the c.lanceolatus is the scientific for splendid?
