please post your 180 pics

so im in the planning stages of a new tank and i've settled on a 180g (for now ) so now im looking for some inspiration regarding the rest of the tank. please post pics and give me an idea of your equipment. im specifically looking at what type of lighting i should go for. this will be for an sps dominated tank. Thanks!

Here was my 180 right after I got it running:

Light fixture was an Aquatinics Constellation. I wound up with 3 Tunze 6105 pumps, and an ATB 1050a skimmer. Overall it was a great tank - sadly it's a bit too tall for my new house, so it's now for sale. :thumbdown Happily - my spouse has ok'd an upgrade to replace it! :lol2:

Here's my first tank at 1 year old .... nothing like jumping in with both feet and starting with a 180. Terrible addiction now, already want to upgrade to a bigger tank! lol

Lighting is a current outer orbit fixture - running 3 aqualine 10k 150w hqi and 4 actinic pc's. SPS are doing great mid to high in the tank but if I could do it over again, or when I upgrade, I would go with 250w halides and t-5 supplementation rather than pc's.

here is my equipment list

75 gallon sump
asm g3 skimmer- good skimmer for the money. but i feel gate valve mod is a must
3x 250watt mogul xm15k bulbs on lumetek ballasts lumen bright reflectors
no atinics but i use 2x 4 foot icecap 460nm led wands
mag 12 return
pm calcium reactor
i run uv 12 hrs a day
aquacontroller apex
flow- i use the controllable korillia pumps and the x4 controller. 2x korillia4 and 2x korrillia 6

Check out this build thread (it's up to 80 pages today) Very impressive work in progress. The attention to detail will floor you.

I also have a 180g that I love. I use 3 Lumen Brite reflectors with Radium 250w bulbs, ran with adjustable Lumatek ballasts and love it.

two derasas on the left:

gigas on right. was trying to find a closeup of it in tank, but couldn't. all i could find was this pic taken on 11/09. decided to actually measure it.

ahh....i even have a hippopus clam. can't see it b/c it's smack dab beside the monster
