plexiglass properties

Hi people,

I'm plannig a new tank 270G, and i realy don't know exactly if it0ll be in glass or plexiglass.

I know you from States, are using almost only plexiglass but here in europe (specialy in Portugal) anyone use plexiglass.

I read about the vantages and adventages of glass/plexiglass and i found what i 'll call a mith (or not).

Is true that plexiglass all over the years tend to became colored?a yellow color?

Is this true or just a mith?

i had a plex tank that was nice for about 5 years.my girl friend had a plex tank for a month that turned foggy and we through it away.maybe it depends on the brand.i know alot of people use it for the big tanks just to keep the weight down.i like glass but then again my tanks are all small.
