Plumbing help needed

Am plumbing my 180 and am using gate valves. While doing my leak test I noticed a slow leak out the side of one of the valves. (DIY plumber) obviously the seal isn't perfect.
Was wondering if there was a solvent out there that I could use, to stop the leak, or do I have to redo the whole run using another gate valve.(which I was trying to avoid)

I'm a bit confused where the leak actually is and how the valve is plumbed?

Threaded or slip? Is it leaking around your joint or the valve itself is leaking?

If you really want piece of mind and dont want to trash the valve; get fiberglass pipe repair kit. It's resin based and will cure perfectly once it's dry.

if it's a drip leak, you could take it off, and just lather the seam in cement. it wont look pretty, but it will seal it. as mentioned. salt creep will plug it up over time, this would just stop the drip.

Leak is under the tank, on return drain, going down into cellar sump room. Will try fiberglass tape. Very slow leak, would say a drip every 5 mins or so.

I'd cut it out and redo the joint. A small leak from a socket fit could turn into a sudden catastrophic failure without warning.

I'd cut it out and do it over.
Why live with a slow leak or hope salt creep plugs it.
Get it all plumbed right and live with a job well done.
