I am soon going to be plumbing my established 24gal to a 20gal sump and another 20L tank. The LR for the new 20L is from an established system (but I will run it alone in the new 20L tank for a while to make sure there is no die off causing nitrates, ammonia etc...)
Now my question is... Is it safe to plumb together 40gal of fresh saltwater into my 24gal all at once as long as all parameters are the same?
