Any specific problems with plumbing in a frag tank to an established tank?

Frag tank is roughly 60 gallons current system is roughly 120.

If you're adding the frag tank to have backup frags in case something happens to your main tank colonies, anything bad that happens to your main tank, could also happen to the frag tank. Keeping them separate for that reason could save the frags.

No I already have 3 seperate systems, this is just to get the 5 frag racks out of my most sucessful systems.

If I ever get my 265 to a point where my acros will live, it will be my main system and this entire system will be a backup.

Just match your water parameters and check for ammonia and nitrate. It'll bring your nutrients down a touch, so you might feed a little extra.

So you think it might set off a mini cycle? Is the reason to look for ammonia?

Yeah, it's another 1/3 of your volume, so dilutional effects on available nutrients is a factor. Cycling probably not, but I'd check after a couple days to be safe.

Thanks, I'm thinking skipping the 30 gallon water change might help.
