plumbing question

My new tank sounds like a jacuzzi! I have the standard dorso kit. I`m getting a ton of bulbs on my drain side. The water level in my sump is also bouncing up and down. Do I need to drill another breather hole in the top of the dorso? It seems like it`s not getting enough air to match the water flow. The flow from the drain seems to be alot, so that seems to be fine.

A little help please!!!

Post some pics of your setup please. Some details on the size of your tank, return pump, sump location and is this all new plumbing would help a ton.

Here`s a few pics. I think some of the noise is coming from the water cascading down the bio balls. Notice all the bubbles coming from the drain line, is that normal?

Tank is 90 gallon w/ 30 gallon sump. Via aqua 2600 return pump. It`s traveling about 5 feet. I know that`s probably not big enough, but I got it from somebody for nothing, so I`m using it for now. Skimmer is a Berlin w/ the a new turbo pump.

Thanks, Dave

Ok, I got the peices parts from Lowe`s on the way home from work. Two questions.

Does it matter how long number 9 is and how big of a hole should I drill in the cap?

Thanks, Dave
