I have a 120 gallon with a left side built in overflow.Getting my stand and Ro/di system set up this weekend I want to start investigating how to plumb the over flow and the return with bulkheads. I need to plumb from the bottom of my tank to the sump.Because I bought the kit that includes the plumbing for the overflow and the return that sits inside the overflow any advice will be helpful like the size of pvc to use , valves etc pics are always great.

Thanks in advance

There are a bunch of threads around here that show build progression. I've found it best to do a search. Otherwise, just look for new tank build threads and follow along.

Everybody is different, but here is my plumbing to help get you started.

Thanks L and L that is a great diagram that is what I was looking for. My tank only has one overflow but i think that i can figure out how to eliminate the extra piping

thanks alot I am going to have to save that link I have been trying to use the other search but it always says that the server is to busy.

Here is another one that Inland Reef made. Sorry to see that Inland Reef.com is no longer... but, I'm glad they made these pictures. I took their 2 overflow GIF and modified it (with their permission) and made my design.

It's SUCH a big help seeing in front of your eyes, than trying to picture it in your head.

That is exactly it that is what I needed. Thanks alot L and L. Icant wait to be able to help people in these forum once i learn my stuff which i notice that i have a lot to learn.

Sure no problem. Glad to help.

Another note about these pictures:

Vinyl tubing does NOT bend like that. PVC obviously will. Vinyl not.

On my closed loop in the back as the saltwater flows out from the drain and down to my pump, it was a 90 degree turn and the vinyl tubing was collapsing a little bit, so, I bought a bunch of metal hose clamps and placed them ~2 inches apart from each other through the 90 degree turn. It keeps the vinyl tubing shape round on a tight turn.
