I don't know how many of you guys from here know about PNG exporting their Super perculas. Most are True perculas or Onyx perculas that are Bigger than your average perc.I have received my pair and am very pleased with the fish. The male is 1 1/2 and is more orange than the female.Female is ~ 3 1/2 and is almost all black after the 2nd stripe.

Here's a vidclip of mee feeding them this morning:

That made me a little dizzy but very nice fish. Last weekend I bought a onyx for a guy who raised them himself, it was at a club fragswap. My daughter chose the fish, it also only has 2 white bars, missing 3rd. Is this a flaw, misbar or just accepted as normal ? I will love the fish no less, just wondering. : )

Normal when they are young,if by 3yrs of age they still have 3rd bar missing it's just a misbar.More black=more desirable.

How old is yours?
Mine is still very young, I am not all that familiar with onyx, was told it will get more black as it matures. I will just have to wait and see. Thanks : )

Yeah, that's what it reminded me of. Good call.
Badgus, just kidding really, loved the video, your fish are beautiful. : )

I've been seeing these on the wholesale lists lately. i've got one of the regular PNG true percs. if you don't mind me asking, what did you pay retail? the wholesale on them seems ridiculously high.

Very nice pair. My PNG Percs were smaller than your male when I got them and both had no 3rd stripe. I have had them over a year, the 2nd stripe of the male is complete, and they both have almost complete 3rd stripes. They have also gotten way darker. Here are some acclimation pics. I will take some today pics, when I get home later this week, to see the amazing color the PNG percs develop. Sorry for the bad pics but these were taken with a camcorder.

Very nice pair indeed. Most beutiful clown IMO.The female seems to be cleaning out a piece of rock,i think i might see eggs not too long from now.

Great fish! Both have incomplete or missing bars. Just goes to show that the missing bars on captive bred fish are totally normal since this occurs with wild fish also.

Great fish! I'm putting together a new 100g reef tank. So stocking fish is a ways off. I am interested in getting a pair of clowns and these PNG knock my socks off. I live in a small town in S.E. Alaska...so finding a supplier of livestock is my biggest challenge so far. ( They all seem to ship FED EX and there is no Contractor here) We get UPS, USPS and are served by Alaska Airlines though. If There is a link maybe I can get the LFS in Anchorage to broker then for me.
