Once enough hobbyist have them and start fragging them out they will drop dramatically in price as well as, we won't have to worry about the availability either.

very true.

the price will drop regardless. there isnt a website out there selling corals that doesnt have aussie acans. they arent as rare as they would like you to think they are. plus there are people that arent even buying them to keep in their tanks. all they do is buy and sell them. i would love to see how many times some of these frags and colonies have been traded/sold.

I'm definitely not saying that the supply isn't there right now. 90 percent of them being sold online though aren't aquacultured. All of them are buying imported colonies and cutting them up. You aren't going to find a lot of strictly aquacultured frag packs for sale. At a growth rate of a few heads a month, a serious seller would go out of business. I still think that once the limits on collection happens, aquaculturing won't be able to keep up with the demand. But, I guess only time will tell.
