Im having what looks to be a polyp bail out growing from one of my frogspawns corals, since i know that this can be caused due to stress im asking if a polyp bail out looks like a small piece of skeleton falling from the parent with some flesh, im also posting some pictures of it

Im also having the problem that xenia grows like crazy and im having a hard time controling it from touching other corals, perhaps this is related with the polyp bail out event ?

Any ideas on what should i do to control my xenia ?

I heard that polyp bailout is when the living tissue separates without dying and regrows a skeleton after settling.

What you are getting is just reproduction. I know that elegance corals do the same when they drop a new polyp.

Best way to stop xenia is to lower nutrients, since it is rather hard to control.

Its called polyp extrusion, its common if Faviids and Euphyllia spp.My E.glabrescens did the same thing.Often, there is a tiny piece of skeletal material attached with the dropping tissue.

Thanks a lot for the info :)

few hours later the polyp looks even more close to be detached from the parent.

Once the polyp is ejected what should i do, glue it to a rock ?
