Polyp ID?

Not sure what type of polyp this is. Kind of looks like a Green star polyp but with a neon orange center and brown branches.
I know the photo isn't the greatest but I don't have a better camera. Sorry!

Very beautiful coral, but they can become a pest if left unchecked.

Why do they become a pest? because they grow quickly?

Pretty much... I wouldn't treat it any differently than you would GSP. Most things in it's path will be mowed down given the chance. FWIW, I keep having to use epoxy to rebuild the barriers.
