Polyp Lab System: Amino Acid Additives for Coloration

Does anybody have experience with this set of additives: Polyp Lab System Reef-resh Complete Kit? It is a set of different bacterias to improve water quality and amino acids to feed corals and enhance coloration.

Please share your experience and opinion. Do you add any additional additives of any kind?

every once in a while i use probio ammino sup. i have had no bad things from it but no real improvment that i can tell either. i do not dose as often as they say either so.....

I have never tried the product but I have bean trying to find time to research whether or not corals actually need suplemental amino acids. I have an ongoing interest in coral metabolism so I want to follow threads like this.
I found this paper in a biochemistry journal and they tested 5 different corals, Acropora, monostrea, porites, tubastrea and Astrangia. They concluded that these corals could synthesize at least 16 of the 20 common amino acids.

They didn't know whether this was because the corals could make all of the enzymes they needed or whether or not this was because of their xooanthellae or sybiotic bacteria. I am still trying to find time to research the topic but it seems to me that this kind of supplementation is unnecessary. Give the corals good light, try to feed them what they will accept and they will do the rest.
