Hi, i will be starting a new 200ish gallon mixed reef very soon. well as soon as i can close on my new house :)

I had and idea to add a polystone sculpture to my reefscape. Has anyone ever done this?

Here is the like to the particular piece

I want to use it as part of my reef structure etc.. "embed it into my liverock"

Any ideas?

Or any ideas as to how to get algae etc. to grow on it if i do use one?

Polystone is composed mainly of special unsaturated resin, MMA and natural mineral i.e. aluminum hydrate instead of plastics or synthetic marble. It is a high-grade solid surface material made with polymer composite technology.

Could leak chemicals into the water.... Would have to check and find out exactly whats in and on it. Hope someone else comes to help ya sorry...

It's definately going to be different and cool to see a bunch of corals growing on a Bhudda sculpture.

Check what it's made out of to see if it can go into the reef.

I hope i can use it, i'll have to do more research on it, or i could possibly seal it to an extent after the first curing?
