Pond Plants

greenmonkey51,

Thank you for your inquiry. We recommend waiting until the water temperature is 60 degrees before adding plants to your pond. To help control nutrients and prevent an algae bloom, you may want to add a product such as AlgaeFix until the plants begin to grow and can control this on their own. We are including a hyper link to some very informational pond articles located on drsfostersmith.com. Please contact us with any other questions or concerns.

greenmonkey51,

Thank you for your post. The exact shipping size of the pond plants will largely depend on the species as well as the time of year they are shipped. We will be checking with our Aquatic Center to find the current overall sizing for the bog plants and water lilies. As soon as we obtain further information, we will be posting it here.

greenmonkey51,

Thank you for waiting for our response. We have plans to add approximate purchase size information to our LiveAquaria site soon. The Water Lilies are 8” to 16”, Floating Plants are 6” to 8”, Bog Plants are 12” to 18” with the exception of the Dwarf Cattails which are 8” to 10”.

We hope you find this information helpful. Please let us know if you have further questions.
