has anybody started any reef tanks using the pond spray foam for the back wall? thinkin about usin it on a future build. if so any comments on it or pics. thanks

Used it on my new 225g. It is in-wall viewable from both sides. I used the pond foam on the left and right sides as a glue and filler, attaching rock into the foam to completely hide the sides and overflow and make it look natural. Works well.

Make sure you use laytex medical type gloves while working with it. Lots of fumes while using it. Becomes tacky in a few minutes. Basically, I sprayed some onto the spot I wanted to attach a rock and a bit onto the back of the rock, waited a minute for it to become tacky, put the rock in place and held the rock for another 3-6 minutes until it held firm. The foam keeps expanding, so you have to keep pushing it down with a rock to form it the way you want or it will expand into a bubble that doesn't look good. Be aware, it also expands out of the can application pipe, so when you put the can down more will keep comign out and drip -- need to always set it on papertowls, newspaper, etc. Need patience to use it and make it a natural looking result, but the end result is nice.
