Pool hose

If you're going with a corrugated hose, pick up sump hose from a hardware store instead. It'll be closer to the diameter you want, and will have smooth ends for clamps. If you try to cut the cuffs off pool hose and clamp directly over the corrugated hose, it will never seal for a pressure line.

Something like this should work okay, but double clamp for sure.

That will work

Thanks!

How long of a run are you talking about and what sort of volume are you dumping and filling? Even inch and a quarter hose is going to hold a lot of water when you turn off the pump. Depending on the length of run, you could be rolling up a hose with a couple of gallons of water still in it. Reducing the pvc shouldn't be an issue for the pump at all. But would mean your water changes would take more time.

1" just for water changes? Are you trying to set a new speed record :)
"Hey.. give me a hand.. Its time to do a water change"

Probably going to get 25' or 30' I'd rather not reduce the hose. A sump hose is only $11 for 25' at 1 1/4". I didn't know this type of hose is safe to use. I did think about garden hose for a while. I know I will have to get the water out each time.

Thanks

At 25ft long, an inch and a quarter hose will hold almost 20 litres of water. That's five gallons you're losing on your water change. It's not a lost I suppose, but that's how much water won't make it to the tank each time.

Yep

I'm go to walk the line and get the water out when I'm done so I won't lose most of that water

Last peep from me:

Mind the siphon. Keep your fill hose above water as you pump or you'll be low on water by the time you get back to it.

There wont be a back siphon because there will be a valve on the fitting made to fill the tank and I have a remote to turn the pump off
