popped zoa

Ok My wife and I are new at keeping coral and have mostly zoos and rics.

Well the wife spotted a very large aptasia in the center of one of our zoo colonies. She then proceded to try and pick out the offending aptasia while I was away at work for some reason. In the process of doing so she apparently grabbed a zoa as well and it popped.

Needless to say I came home to a freaked out wife and a some shrivled zoos.

What canI do at this poing to try and salvage the colony? Or will they heal?

Please help I would hate to lose these beauties.

No problemo---It will heal--Make sure your wife washed her hands well afterwards, which I am sure she did.

It should heal. If not, a bristleworm or hermit will find the polyp and remove it for you.

it will defintely heal. I usually damage a few when propagating my zoas

are there any issues with palytoxin getting into the water?

If it was just one there should not be to much to worry about.
