Porcelain crab - multiple in one tank?

Hi guys! Putting together my CUC plan for my 290g, looking to see if I can have multiple porcelain crabs? I don't see anywhere that they should be kept in singles. Seems like the only concern is to dose phytoplankton if you have multiple, sound about right? I would like to have 4-5, I'm a fan of watching inverts.

Same goes for acro crabs (trapezia). Can I have multiple within one tank? I don't see anything saying not to.

I have a pair of porcelain crabs that live in my BTA, and one of my acro colonies has a pair of acro crabs. I think the key is to have them in pairs. My pom pom crabs (2) completely ignore each other except to share/steal pom poms.

I lik Pom poms, but I read in a few places that the anemones may sting and damage corals. I thought it was far fetched... But any thoughts?

Awesome! Thanks much!

I haven't had any issues with them at all. :) The anemones are seriously tiny. Pencil eraser size or smaller. I've had the crabs for maybe 10 months and both still have their poms (they occasionally lose one and then split the other).

Great! Exactly what I was hoping to hear! Thanks again!

They can get big after time. My pom pom crab has a leg span of 1.5 inches and the pom poms are almost half an inch in diameter. None of corals have any problems. I only have sps.

I have around 40 porcelain crabs in an 80g, they were all hitchhikers on TBS rock. I feed heavily and try to make sure the water column has food in it quite often. They are growing and molting so they must be able to coexist with many of their own.

Do porcelain crabs actually need phyto? I was under the impression they could filter out bigger foods like even frozen brine or mysis. Is this different at all for the small anemone crabs vs the larger rock dwelling species?
