Possible Anemone ID

Hi,

I have just finished cycling my tank and I have this guy/gal in on the rock,
My wife thinks it's an anemone.
What do you think?

It's some kind of anemone, but not sure if its good or bad. I'll leave that to the experts.

Look up Curly Q anemone. I am guessing your LR is from one of the Florida vendors? This is a common anemone in Fla and is related to Aiptasia but isn't as invasive as aiptaisia are.

The rings on the tentacles make me think it is a Curly Q. They are for sale in the hobby but not very desirable because they aren't a hosting anemone. Usually can be bought for about $10

Google search it. It's just a critter that can live in your tank. It will look like a very large aiptasia but not reproduce like they do. If you like it, keep it, if not get rid of it. You can take your time deciding and researching on them to see if you want to keep it or not. No harm no foul.

So I guess you could say you got a good hitchhiker :thumbsup:
