possible brooklynella or and Help please!

I think my Flame Angel has brooklynella. It has some irritants on the skin (raised scales), not eating, rapid breathing, and lethargic. I have recently purchased about 10 fish and put them all in a QT to start my prophylactic treatment, but seeing the flame angel is rapidly declining I think I may need to be more targeted. I have also seen some white spots on a few fish, likely ich.

What methods should I use to get one or more treatments going on the fish? I have most of the meds on hand, so please suggest away!!

I have Fromalin MS which is composed of 37% formaldehyde. It states two drops per gallon for fresh and marine fish- follow as prescribed?

What disease(s) will the formalin treat?

1. Does the formalin only treat Brook, or will it help with other diseases?

2. Can you mix anything with formalin such as prazipro or best to do separately?

3. As noted earlier, some of my fish exhibit scratching and white spots, thus how long do I go with the formalin before moving to a cupermine for the ich?

Thanks again!

Formalin only treats brooklynella. It has a mild effect on ich but will not cure it.

I would do formalin with prazipro separately. I would do daily formalin dips on ALL of the fish for at least 5 days straight. You can certainly start cupramine in your QT now to treat ich as formalin is done as a dip in a separate bucket.

Shoot, I already added the fromalin to the tank as the bottle directed. I plan to do a large water change after I finish my process (though I have no idea long this may be) and use carbon to remove what is left.

"Should" the formalin kill the parasite/brook in a weeks time given my current method, or expect a longer drawn out process?
