Possible green light on an upgrade

I have been dropping hints to my girlfriend for a while about getting a bigger tank and it would always get instantly shot down. After coming back from the swap with more corals the girlfriend passed by my tank this morning and said geeze you need a bigger tank. Once I heard that the wheels started to turn!

I like the whole cube look but she said a longer tank would look good on the wall where the current tank is so now I'm not sure what I would want to do. Of course theres a bunch of rules that go along with it. The main point she made to me is if I do get a bigger tank the old one has to be gone from the apartment within 24 hrs.

Time to start thinking.

Thinking about a 40 breeder drilled with a sump. I want to still keep it small until we get out of the apartment. Now I am being told that it is a post holiday project because my gf thinks its going to take too long to do. She doesnt realize how quick of a project this could be.

27 ot a 40? Kyle, I thought this was an upgrade. That's like going pico to nano. 1 more foot and you get a 75g which is a much nicer size and it fits your wall better :) Think about the people who need frags from your grow outs!

+1. I just sold a 75g plumbed with stand (no sump) for $75. Deals are out there to be had:)

Hmm true. I am just trying to think of a tank that I can still use most of my same equipment on, and like my last upgrade be able to do in 1 day.

Think I have settled on what I am doing. 40B drilled with a sump. Once I get everything together I just need to pick a saturday to get everything done. Shooting for sometime in November.

Tank is getting drilled/overflow and whatnot. Now I just have to head up to the parents one weekend to build the stand since I dont have any space or tools here to do it.
