possible ich?

hi, Ive been using this forum along with others as a reference tool for awhile now. i have never had any reason to post before, because my questions were always answered. however, this time i am stumped. i have a red sea max 130 mixed tank, i have had the tank for about six months. the previous owner had it set up and running for around 18 months

I have had a pair of snowflake ocellaris for a month now. 10 days ago i noticed the male had a very small clear spec on the side if his head, looked almost like a piece of silica. the spec went away a few days later. yesterday i noticed the same looking spec on the other side of his face near the gill. Both fish are eating like crazy and and are strong swimmers. i have noticed no strange behavior such as heavy breathing or flashing. the only thing that is he has recently been hanging around near the top of the tank by the return pumps. I'm wondering what this could be. Ive tried taking pictures but the spec doesn't show up. the larger dominate clown is always pushing him around, possible war wound? i have my hospital tank up and running along with cupramine and seachem copper test kits, but i really dont want to move them and start playing doctor if i dont have to.

One spot could be anything, I wouldn't worry yet. Watch for more spots, peeling or sloughing skin, or other problems. If this does turn out to be a parasite; you'll have to treat all the fish in a QT/HT. The clown behavior is normal, small clowns form a bonded pair, with the female being the boss.

At this point, nothing to worry.

Your clowns are trying to establish a pecking order... what you are seeing is a scale that got knocked around in the process.
