Possible Mantis shrimp..need to get rid of him!

I have a 210gal tank that at the moment is filled with LR & LS. Eventually I will be moving my fish from my old 75gal after the cycle is completed. But the other day I noticed a shrimp like critter moving around. He's about an inch long. I'm not sure what he is but I would like him out since I don't know for sure that he's not a mantis shrimp.

I heard that a snowflake eel might work great to get rid of him. I was planning on getting a snowflake anyway. What are some other easy ways to get him out?

Thanks

You can lure him into a large net depending on the mantis, if you have a feeding prong, put some krill on the end and coax him into the net. I've caught my mantis like that before when i was adding new live rock.

an inch long mantis won't pose any danger to anything really. you might have to replace the odd hermit crab once in a while.

hitch hikers are one of the coolest aspects of the hobby imo. I would just let it stay until you find some kind of actual reason to remove it. besides hunting small critters like that is a pain in the a** anyways. if you can't get a half decent pic we probably won't be able to tell you what it is.
