I agree that it is a bad idea. Usually the rule is one pair of clowns per tank, regardless of size. There are a few instances where more than one pair of clowns has been ok but it's an exception not a rule.
I have had multiple clowns in my tanks for years. I kept a pair of regularly spawning tomatoes with a pair of clarkies and one ocelaris and a false perc in a 90 gal for 4 years until the poor little perc jumped one night. Lots of rocks and caves and several anemomies.
I have now moved everyone into a 180gal and the tomatoes have started to lay eggs again
after settling in and they do get agressive towards the clarkies but when the female tomato
sleeps in my carribean gigantua the female clark jumps in the purple anenome and gets chased out in the morning. So yes there is a bit of pushing arround but no one has ever been injured.
The only person who gets hurt around here is me when i put my hand in the tank and get attached by the tomato female, she has drawn blood many times and is getting worse as she is almost 4" in length now.
