possum wrasse....when to worry

hi. i just started a new 38g for my office in the house and its been up and going for about 2 months now. i recently added a much anticipated possum wrasse and it has yet to be seen eating or out in the open. he was eating like a pig at the lfs when i got him, which was about a week ago now. the thing that concerns me most is that he had only been at the lfs for 2 days before coming out to eat. the tank mates are a yellow watchman, purple firefish, and a 1.5" goldbar maroon clown. now i know the goldbars can develop agression later on but no body has been in long and all seem happy and hungry. should i just relax and let him do his thing or move him to the bigger older tank? any help would be great. thanks


p.s. all levels in the new tank seem to have leveled out nice after the first 4 weeks.

possums can be very shy.

perhaps you could wait a little longer for him to feel more comfortable?

I can go days without seeing mine and its been in the tank for over a year now. What are you feeding? Mine will only eat frozen (mysis/rods food)

i feed frozen mysis mostly. thats what he was eating at the store when i picked him up. i saw him a coupple days ago hiding in the back of a large branchy piece of LR which is where i am assuming he still is. theres tons of caves and open spaces throughout the piece so he could be anywhere in there. its hard to find to check on. just hoping theres enough natral food in those rocks fore a while. i do see a good amount of copods on my glass everyday, so thats good.
