I just saw one at my lfs and it has great color. Im thinking about getting it. I was wondering if these fish are known jumpers? I have an open top and I realize most fish can jump, but are these know for that? thanks

I have one that's supposed to be around 4 years old or older, all grey now. Spends most of its time in the rock and swims to each one picking live stuff off the rocks. Gets territorial but isn't a threat, just annoys fish by swimming vertically and changing its grey face to white then swims away to hide again. Likes to eat meaty food

Edit: I think all fish would be, but since it spends most of its time in the rocks I would think it's less likely to do so

they are in and out out of the rocks and stay in them alot..but i have picked mine up of the floor when i had the top off and have seen him when scared hit my top..so i would not trust one without a top

Ya I don't want to kill the little guy for no reason if he is going to jump, I was just hoping since he is a rock dweller that he would be less likely to jump. When I had a six line it jumped once, luckily I was there to toss him him back in. But with the six line he was all over the place darting around the rocks, so I wasn't too surprised he jumped. So I guess I was hoping the possum is less likely than the six line to jump, and since my six line only jumped once in about a year it didn't seem to be a major problem. Btw do you guys have any pictures of yours?

I can't take photographs of my two wrasses but this is the best I can do with this guy. Anytime I step up to the tank it's quick to bolt to the rocks. Pretty plump and very gray. The two bands it has are a mix of white and yellow. A local reefer had passed it down to me since he said it was too ugly for his tank. He got it from a guy who had it for a few years

it wont make a difference..i would not take a chance with almost any fish without a top...i have seen to many pretty fish lost due to jumping...and wrasses are just one of those fish that are going to jump
