Blazer, what do you use to get the lighting like that?

I was using a little white single-LED flashlight to illuminate the coral from the top. Yes, I was actually that bored one morning :)

Thanks guys!

I use a Cano Rebel XT, the acro shot above was a 4 second exposure with an EF100 f/2.8 macro.

I was just admiring all the nice macro shots. You guys do good work. I want to take a crock at doing some macro photography with my tank.

Jeff you said you use the EF100 f/2.8 macro. What kind of working distances do you get with that lens? I am thinking of getting one for my Digital Rebel.

kactusficus, I still love that favia...

nmywrx, working distance is about 6" from the lens for 1:1. On that shot, I had to place the coral on the bottom at the side of the tank to get the shot.

I know blazer recently switched to a sigma 150mm for the extra working distance.
