post melafix issues

i used melafix to cure some issues with a dwarf angel and i dosed for 7 days, turned off my sterilizer and skimmer and it worked just fine. now that i am done treatment, i did a 25% water change, plugged my sterilizer and skimmer back in. my problem is that my skimmer is going crazy. im assuming its skimming melafix out of the water? will the melafix eventually come out of the water? or am i going to be do alot of water changes before i can plug my skimmer back in?

torn fin and cloudy eye. not sure where it came from, i had him about 2 weeks and he didnt eat for those first two weeks and then i noticed the eye and the fin. everything i read said to give melafix a try, so i did. it worked. the eye is no longer cloudy and the fins are slowly but surely looking better. and he is eating now so thats a plus.
