Potassium

I have been suspecting that my potassium levels are low because my montis have been looking grey and washed out. I ordered a test kit and 500ml of K balance strong. The test kit isn't here yet but the K- balance came in and the dosing instructions say 2ml / 25 gal EVERY TWO HOURS! This is just untill you get your potassium levels up but still, a 100 gallon tank would go throught this $60 bottle in a couple of days if it takes very long to get levels up. Anyone ever used this product? On another note, those pretty blue bottles you see all of the zeo stuff in are the cheapest white plastic bottles you have ever seen when they get to your house.

Try KCl (potassium chloride), like $4 a bottle from iherbs.com. Several people have used it to boost their levels w/ no reported ill effects yet (you'll have to search, I never can).

I use dow Flake for the Calcium Chloride Buffer part. A good side affect is that is is supplemented with Potassium Chloride and the colors really come out. It is really cheap by volume also. like $15.00 per 50lbs bag. It will last a long time. Hope this helps.
