Originally posted by tangers aquaria studio had a couple nice ones, I believe one of them was fairly small too-~1 1/2"-2"
they are about $40 a piece...I have owned two of them, both were eating when I bought them, one survived and was sold (regretfully) and the second one went into hiding and I never saw him again. They are very hard to get to eat, and even harder to get to pair up in the home aquarium. If you do find a pair expect to pay big bucks
I attempted two, both from Ocean Direct. Got a large male and a little female. The male had to be worked onto prepared foods, shaved scallops work awesome BTW, but the little female unforutunely never took to anything and didn't make it.
This thread has peaked my interest in getting a pair. I've got some questions I hope can be answered here.
Will they breed in captivity?
Are the males bigger or smaller than the females?
Can I put an opposite sex fish in with a fish already there, without too much worry?
Mine kept jumping into my overflow. Did this at least seperate times. Then he carpet surfed. This ended me having to dig him out of my overflow problem! Anyways, beautiful fish. Loved it, but be aware, mine nipped my clam's mantle to death! before he carpet surfed ofcourse!
