Powder Blue tang skin issue

Tried like hell to get a picture of this, but between a less than great camera and my tang liking to show off and swim loop de loops I cant seem to get a pic.

His belly seems a tad swollen and lumpy which comes and goes with feeding, but the skin around his belly seems tore up. Small little nubbys that look almost like ribs poking out as well. Further up his belly towards his mouth there is either loose/dead skin that is peeling. Thats the basics of the visuals.
He is not showing any visible signs of stress, is still eating and swimming very well. In fact his appetite is pretty nuts for a newly added tang.

He did have mild ich before qt but I havent observed a full relapse. If ich is present its hidden by the skin abrasions which is what I am worried about.
Looking for diagnosis and treatment advice. Also possible fish trap advice, got a gut feeling he will be a pita to catch out of 100gs full of nooks and crannies. Will be hitting the fish trap sticky for further research, but if you have caught a pbt out of a display tank please lemme know how :)

Pre-thanks to anyone who takes the time to help.

7. If you are using hyposalinity, how did you calibrate your refractometer?
n/a
8. Please describe in detail, the appearance of the fish? If there is one or more pimples, are they lumpy? What color?
Normal full color appearance, only noticeable issue is the skin erosion/protrusions
9. Please describe the behavior of the fish as best you can. Is it acting reclusive? Is it always up towards the top of the aquarium? Is it avoiding light? How active is the fish?
Behavior seems happy and playful, uses the whole tank to swim and feed. Doesnt seem to mind my lights he will swim high/low in the tank. Only time he hides is when pumps/powerheads are turned off and on.

10. Is the fish eating? What?
Eating very well mix of sheet nori, rods frozen mix, flake mix of greens/meat

If I can get a pic of this I will. Till then Im combing multiple forums for pics of anything remotely like this.

If a fish showed ich and all the fish in the tank weren't treated....ich is still there and will emerge in massive numbers at the worst possible time. Three weeks is not enough time in a QT, especially when prophylactically treated with copper and PP, as stated above.
