Power Compact light ?

Can I use compact flourescent bulbs found at menards in a tank solely for mushrooms. i.e. 10 gallon tank with two 40 w lights? I read aomewhere for a small nano tank they would be fine but nothing larger...
Any advice would be much appreciated

I've successfully kept mushrooms, xenia, zoanthids, palys, and sea mat in a 10g nano under pc lighting for years.

what do you plan to keep? softies should be fine, although you might not get the colors you want.

I am planning on this being a repair tank for when I frag mushrooms. Nothing else not even like a frag tank becuase I will be putting them back in my regular tank. I was also thinking zoos in there for when I frag them from my main colonies and as a qt tank for coral. But I do not want to do it if I am going to lose coral you know...

I'll vouch for that, I think I have the most pale green toadstoal ever!!!
