can a power head 660 or 800 be used as a pump for now to start cycling my tank> the pump should have been here already and It is the only thing I need left to start cycling my tank ?
I am not really sure that will start the cycling of your tank..but putting it in and having it move water isn't a bad thing by any means....once you have the pump for your sump and the skimmer all working that will move things along....but it still takes time for the tank to become inhabitable....a good nitrate,nitrite and ammonia test kit is pretty much essential to knowing when the cycle is done
