Powerhead in overflow

OK I have a 54 gal corner tank, drilled and with a built-in overflow. Not really loving the look over the powerheads and I wasnt sure if there was anyway to get the powerheads into the overflow box by cutting a hole just big enough for the head to show through. not even sure if there will be enough room with the kit being back there or how I would even position them to get enough flow through out the tank. :hmm3:

Didnt know if anyone has heard of this or tried it themselves..any input would be great.

Im starting to look into a closed loop, would that work for a corner tank and also what size pump would you think Id need?

re: PH in overflow, depends on how low the hole but if the power went off, would be draining your tank through the pump.

Like my Dart for my CL but probably a bit big for a 54g, have you looking into a Reeflo Snapper?
