Powerheads for 3/4" glass?

Recently bought a 156g Oceanic RR brick with no center brace that is constructed out of 3/4" glass. It's 60x24x25. I know it doesn't meet the 180g requirement for this forum but I figured this might be the best place to find out what my powerhead options are. I already have an mp40w and i guess 3/4" is the thickest it is supposed to work on. I was hoping to add some of the new Koralia Evolution powerheads as well but they are only rated for 1/2" glass (I wanted to use them because I already own a wavemaker they should work with). Is there a way to make something like that work or am I going to need to go with another Vortech or a Tunze or 2? Would I be better off going with a closed loop around the top?

Why would you want to put equipment(Powerheads) IN your tank? What main pump are you using? Something along the lines of 1300/1500gph through the sump. To mix the water up good along with your MP40's a couple of Sea Swirls mounted on the main pump would work out very nice and give you very random circulation. Very Low electrical needs(3watts) and really create a natural motion in the tank. Not the really FAST back and forth motion of the VorTech, but a more natural much slower back and forth motion. Most people are getting away from CL's because of electrical cost of the extra pump, but even with a couple of Sea Swirl's mounted on the Closed Loop(ReeFlo pumps are very Low Wattage) would give you more than enough circulation for your needs in that sized tank. I realize IF the tank does not have a canopy or built into the wall and is Freestanding you may chose NOT to have anything out of the tank, but for me I prefer to have my viewing area as equipment free as possible!
